Joanne Lagoudis is a Partner at KMB Law and head of the firms Family Law Group.
Joanne graduated from York University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Society and Sociology. She subsequently attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and graduated in 2002. Throughout all her years in school, Joanne worked at the family business which taught her the value of family and hard work.
Since her call to the bar in 2004, Joanne has been primarily practicing family law in Peel and Halton Region. She has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and at the Ontario Court of Appeal. Joanne represents clients in court, mediation and arbitration on all matters relating to their divorce, parenting issues, child and spousal support issues, and division of property. However, Joanne is also a strong proponent of parties having their own say in how their affairs are handled and as such, she also negotiates and drafts Marriage Contracts, Cohabitation Agreements, and Separation Agreements.
When Joanne is not in court, she enjoys to travel and attending sporting events. She grew up as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but understandably, she has suffered from Leafs Playoff PTSD for the last couple of decades. These days, she throws her support to the Toronto Raptors, who have proven themselves more in the last 10 years.
