Gideon Bell is Partner at KMB Law and a member of the firms Real Estate and Land Development and Banking and Financial Services practice groups.
Gideon started his career working for an in-house legal team providing strategic business and legal advice to small and medium sized land developers and builders in the Golden Horseshoe.
At KMB Law, Gideon helps developers and builders obtain the necessary permits and approvals to service, plan, develop and redevelop residential, industrial and commercial properties. Gideon's broad experience includes everything from purchase and sale of vacant, residential, commercial and industrial land; document registration and land assembly; securing severances, minor variances, site plan approval, and subdivision and condominium approval; registering and organizing condominiums; and selling new condominium units and freehold lots to end-users. He also assists builders and developers in obtaining institutional and private servicing and construction financing, structuring joint ventures, and preparing co-ownership, development and cost-sharing agreements.
In addition to his land development law practice, Gideon maintains a broad real estate practice that includes commercial and residential purchases and sales and commercial leasing.
Gideon has an interest in urban renewal and sustainable development, experience with brownfield redevelopment and enjoys applying his keen sense of the development industry to help developers and builders navigate their first projects.
