
Emily Banks is a Partner at KMB Law and a member of the firm’s Family Law group.
Since her call to the bar in 2016, Emily has practiced primarily in family law in Peel. She has appeared in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. She has previous experience in Criminal Law which offers a unique perspective in the intersection of domestic violence in family law matters.
Emily represents clients in negotiations, mediation, arbitration and court for all issues related to relationship breakdowns and parenting.
Emily also represents parents in child protection matters. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012 with an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She subsequently attended the Dual Law program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy; holding both a Canadian law degree and an American law degree.
When Emily is not in court she enjoys spending her days with her dog, Aggie.
